ARestaurant – A prototype for an Augmented Reality application for designing restaurant interiors.
For the course Virtual Reality, we developed the AR estaurant application. This is a tool that restaurant owners can use to visualize their next renovation. The product catalog in the app is linked to the products of large retailers that sell commercial furniture and other in-house products. The user first captures the dimensions of the room by recording each corner and manually setting the distances between them. When the virtual space is created, the user can now drag 3D objects into their camera view to see how the products would fit the environment.
Within this project, I was responsible for collecting the user requirements and for the development of the UX and UI design of the application. Next to that, I developed the corporate identity of the tool, including the logo, the visual interface for the app, and the final product video.
